Two weeks after its global unveiling, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G has finally stepped on Indian soil. Even if it’s mainly similar to the Mi 11 Lite 4G launched a few months ago, this almost fixes that one complaint people had of a weaker processor on the previous model.
Other attributes like the still fantastic slim and light form factor, a quality 10-Bit AMOLED screen, etc., are present on this one too. That said, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G will now sell starting at ₹26,999.
Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G: Specifications
Xiaomi boasted of a first in segment 10-Bit display last time; well, that’s the case this time too, but with Dolby Vision, HDR+, and WideVine L1 certification for Netflix out of the box. And the size and resolution of the panel remain the same, i.e., 6.55″ FHD+ 10-Bit AMOLED with a 90Hz fast refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The brightness level can reach a maximum of 800 nits, and Gorilla Glass 5 protects the front screen.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G sees an upgrade, and the smartphone now draws power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G. The SoC comes with an integrated Adreno 642L GPU. In addition, there is an option for 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM coupled with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The device comes preloaded with MIUI 12.5 custom skin based on Android 11.
Even the camera setup remains the same. We have a triple camera setup comprising a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, an additional 5MP tele-macro lens, and countless camera modes that include 50+ director modes and support for video recording in 4K resolution. A 20MP sensor on the front handles selfies and selfie videos.
Another marvel which Xiaomi managed to pull off inside a 6.81mm thin body weighing 158 grams is to fit a 4250mAh battery. The battery can charge at 33W using Xiaomi’s 33W fast charger, which comes bundled. Xiaomi was kind enough to provide support for 12 5G bands. Also, as promised, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G will receive three years of Android updates & four years of security updates.
Connectivity and miscellaneous features include 4G VoLTE, 5G, NFC for contactless payments, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, dual-stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR Blaster, Glass Back, etc. The phone, however, misses out on a 3.5mm headphone jack and expandable SIM card slot.
