Every year Oppo hosts a conference called the Oppo Inno Day where they showcase their latest innovations to the world. Last year they showcased a phone with an under display camera which allows for a completely notch less full screen viewing display without the need for any kind of moving part like a pop up camera.

This year we are expecting a phone with 125W fast charging but all eyes will be on the concept phone which has a rollable display which will also be announced tomorrow, according to an official post on Weibo, a chinese micro-blogging site.

Though this image doesn’t reveal how the display rolls/retracts, we are sure that this will be another innovative invention by Oppo. While companies like TCL have shown of their concept rolling phones and LG is planning to announce a rolling phone in March 2021, we will have to see whether Oppo uses the same technology as the others. We know this is a rollable/retractable phone since Oppo itself wrote  “in the future, your phone will be able to retract freely” in the post.

Oppo Inno day will take place in Shenzen, China and will start at 16:00 local time or 13:30 IST and will run for about 90 minutes. The event will be online only and can be watched on Oppo’s official YouTube channel.
