The OPPO A series was first introduced in 2016. It is OPPO’s budget smartphone line, with most devices priced below $200. The A series has been marketed as a selfie-centric series, with many of the devices in the queue having front-facing cameras with selfie-focused features such as beautification mode.
Now OPPO has unveiled its new OPPO A17K smartphone in India. The handset is a more affordable alternative to the low-end OPPO A17 launched in September this year. Let’s take a look at this device in detail.
OPPO A17K 2022: Specifications
The OPPO A17K has a 6.56-inch LCD screen with an HD+ resolution. The phone’s display also offers a refresh rate of up to 60Hz and comes with 600 nits of peak brightness. Also, the handset runs on the company’s own ColorOS 12.1, based on the Android 12 operating system.
This device has a massive 5,000mAh battery with USB Type-C charging support. Also, it has another feature, an IPX4 rating, which means the device is water resistant. The handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and offers up to 4GB RAM.
As for connectivity, it has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth, GPS/GLONASS, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and FM Radio. The smartphone also has a 5MP selfie camera on the front for selfies. There is a single primary camera with an 8MP sensor on the rear.
Moreover, if we compare it to OPPO A17, which debuted last month with a dual SIM phone, it runs on the company’s own ColorOS 12.1.1, based on the Android 12 operating system. The OPPO A17 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core processor and has a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD with 720×1612 Pixel resolution. The screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz and an 89.8 percent body-to-screen ratio. It is available for Rs. 12,499. As you probably understand, the OPPO A17K is priced lower than the previously launched OPPO A17 smartphone.

The OPPO A17K comes with 3GB RAM and 64 internal storage capacity that can be expanded via microSD card up to 1TB. The OPPO A17K is priced at Rs 10,499 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant. It is available in two color variants – Gold and Navy Blue.
