Reliance’s JioPhone Next was announced at Reliance’s AGM (Annual General Meeting) 2021 event earlier this year. Reliance stated that the smartphone would be launched on September 10 as an auspicious occasion for Ganesh Chaturthi.
However, ahead of the launch, specifications and details of the smartphone have been leaked online, and it looks quite interesting. The handset will come with some unique features customized for Indian users. The smartphone is expected to feature real-time translation.

JioPhone Next will sport a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution with a resolution of 720×1,440 pixels. The JioPhone Next will be powered by a Snapdragon 215 SoC paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
The JioPhone Next will be equipped with features like reading Aloud and Translate Now as well. Google has partnered with Snap to integrate India-specific Snapchat lenses into the phone’s camera.
The smartphone will boot Android 11 Go Edition, and the smartphone will feature Google Play Protect built-in, which is Google’s world-class security and malware protection app. With Google Play Store, users will get a chance to download apps according to their needs. The JioPhone Next will also feature sizeable bezels on top and bottom.
In terms of optics, the JioPhone Next will feature a single-lens 13MP primary camera at the rear. At the front, the smartphone will also feature an 8MP selfie shooter for snapping selfies and video chatting. Furthermore, the smartphone will be backed by a 2,500mAh battery.
The JioPhone Next’s connectivity options include GPS, eMMC 4.5 storage, Bluetooth 4.2, and more. In addition, the smartphone will also feature Google Assistant and a screen that provides an automatic reading text and language translation feature along with a quick way to switch languages on the smartphone.

According to leaks, the JioPhone Next will be available at Rs. 3,500. Some rumors even suggest that the smartphone will be available in two variants. However, the pricing and other details are still unknown, and the smartphone’s one color variant has been leaked, which is blue, and there might be even more.
