iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro Launched with 120Hz Displays and 120W Fast Charging

The iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro have arrived as successors to the iQOO 7 series in China. iQOO will unveil its new flagship smartphones on August 17 and the key specifications of the iQOO 8 duo were already leaked ahead of launch. The iQOO 8 duo will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC onboard. The iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro arrive with multiple upgrades over the previous series of smartphones.

iQOO 8: Specifications

The iQOO 8 sports a 6.56-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a high 120 Hz refresh rate with a resolution of 1080×2376 pixels. The iQOO 8 also features a display with 10-bit color, 92.76 screen-to-body ratios, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, and 398 PPI as well.

The iQOO 8 also features an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner for security. The iQOO 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC which is paired up with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage as well. The iQOO 8 boots preinstalled with Android 11 based OriginOS 1.0.

In terms of imaging & photography, the iQOO 8 features a triple camera setup at the rear comprising a 48MP IMX598 primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, a 13MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 13MP portrait camera with an f/2.46 aperture. At the front, the iQOO 8 features a 16 MP selfie snapper for snapping selfies and video chatting.

The iQOO 8 is backed by a 4,350mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. The handset’s connectivity options include 5G/4G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, X-axis linear motor, face unlock, and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer. The smartphone also features sensors comprising proximity sensors, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The iQOO 8 measures 159.06×75.14×8.63mm and weighs about 199.9 grams.

The iQoo 8 is priced at Rs. 43,600 (CNY 3,799) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant whereas the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 48,200 (CNY 4,199). The iQOO 8 is available in White, Black, and Orange color variants. The smartphone offers Legendary Edition with the BMW M Motorsport color-way too.

The iQOO 8 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 2K Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a high 120Hz refresh rate with a resolution of 1,440×3,200 pixels. The iQOO 8 also features a display with 10-bit color, 92.2 screen-to-body ratios, 20:9 aspect ratio, 517 PPI, and HDR support as well.

The iQOO 8 also features an optical ultrasonic 3D wide-area in-screen fingerprint scanner for security. The iQOO 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC which is paired up with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage as well. The iQOO 8 boots preinstalled with Android 11 based OriginOS 1.0. The smartphone also features Adreno 660 GPU.

In terms of imaging & photography, the iQOO 8 features a triple camera setup at the rear comprising an OIS enabled 50MP IMX766V primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens, a 48MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, and a 16MP portrait camera with an f/2.23 aperture. At the front, the iQOO 8 features a 16MP with an f/2.4 aperture selfie snapper for snapping selfies and video chatting.

The iQOO 8 is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support and 50W wireless charging support. The handset’s connectivity options include 5G/4G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, Z-axis linear motor, CS43131 audio chip, face unlock, and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer.

The smartphone also features sensors comprising proximity sensors, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The iQOO 8 measures 165.01×75.2×9.19mm and weighs about 202.5 grams.

iQOO 8 Pro: Pricing & Availability

The iQoo 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 57,300 (CNY 4,999) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 63,100 (CNY 5,499), and the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 68,800 (CNY 5,999) . The iQOO 8 is available in White and Black color variants. The smartphone offers Legendary Edition with the BMW M Motorsport colorway and track version as well.
