Google has finally announced its Google Play Pass service to India and will roll out to Android later this week. This Google Play Service will offer users access to over 1000 apps or games without any ads or in-app purchases for monthly or yearly subscriptions.
However, the Google Pass Service is currently limited to only 90 countries across the globe. The Google Play Pass Service will offer Indian developers various kinds of apps and games a new avenue to expand their global user base and unlock new revenue streams.
Aditya Swamy, Google India’s senior executive, said in a statement, “We want to deliver products and programs that the Play community—both users and developers—find value in, and we are constantly looking for new ways to do this”. “With the launch of Play Pass in India, we are excited to offer a robust collection of unlocked titles to our users and looking forward to partnering with more local developers to build wonderful experiences users love.”
Google Play Service will offer users access to thousands of applications or games without ads or in-app purchases for monthly or yearly subscriptions. When users activate their subscription, they can download apps and games until the subscription gets active without ads or in-app purchases. Google Play Pass Service includes games like Jungle Adventures, World Cricket Battle 2, Monument Valley, Utter, Unit Converter, AudioLab, Photo Studio Pro, Kingdom Rush Frontiers TD, and many more.
To get Google Play Pass Service on your Android handset, users need to open the Play Store app on your Android device. Then tap the profile icon at the top right and look for the “Play Pass” option. Click on it and follow the onscreen instructions. In addition, users with membership can also access the collection of apps and games through the Play Pass tab or by looking for the Play Pass ticket when browsing titles on the Play Store.
According to Google, Google Play Pass will be available to Indian users starting at INR 99 per month. At the same time, the annual subscription will be priced at INR 899. Users can also purchase a one-month subscription for INR 109 prepaid fee. In addition, all the family members can share access to up to five other family members. Google is also giving a one-month free trial subscription for recurring subscription members.
