ASUS has recently announced its first foldable laptop, the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED, in India. According to the company, it was the first world’s 17.3-inch foldable laptop. Also, the company has made statements to create this device the most hyped laptop of the year. It has partnered with Intel and other domain experts.
The ZenBook 17 Fold comes with a 17.3-inch foldable OLED display with 2560×1920 resolution and the latest-generation Intel Core processors. It comes with Windows 11 Home, versatile modes such as desktop, reader, etc., and a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.
Also, the weight is approximately 1.5 kg, making it thin and light. According to the company, this foldable laptop removes the restrictions of traditional laptop design, and it can adapt to different working strategies.
ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED: Features
This ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED has a minimalistic design. Plus, It is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i7 1250U processor and Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. Moreover, this laptop offers 16GB RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD storage.
The laptop can be transformed into two screen sizes: a 17.3-inch 2.5K touch screen that folds in the middle to create two seamless 3:2 12.5-inch 1920 by 1280 displays. The 12.5-inch display form factor is significantly smaller and more portable than most traditional 13-inch laptops.
You can use the ASUS ZenBook Fold in tablet, desktop, and laptop modes. The display is Dolby Vision-certified and has a 100% DCI-P3 gamut, a PANTONE validated for color accuracy, and TUV Rheinland-certified for reducing harmful blue light.
This ZenBook 17 Fold OLED laptop contains various innovative AI-powered features, user-presence detection, an integrated color sensor for automatic adjustment of screen brightness and color temperature; and a 5MP AI webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology for more explicit video calls.
Apart from that, this laptop gives multiple working modes, including Desktop, Laptop (with Bluetooth keyboard), Laptop (with virtual keyboard), Tablet, Reader, and Extended, which is enabled by the folding design in conjunction with the full-size ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard, and touchpad.
As for the I/O, the laptop has two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support and a speed of up to 40GB/s. It has the latest Wi-Fi 6E support, which is almost 2X faster than Wi-Fi 6. Also, It comes with a 75W battery with fast charging support.
