Xiaomi’s Mi Portable Wireless Mouse launched for Rs.499 In India

Xiaomi, apart from its smartphones, is also known for IoT and lifestyle products. 2019 was the year when Xiaomi expanded its product lineup by launching a wide range of products like the Xiaomi Beard Trimmer, Sports Shoes, backpacks and T-Shirts. This year will be no different as they have launched their first product in 2020, The Mi Portable Wireless Mouse. With a market share of 29%, the tech giant has always priced its products aggressively and is on its way to make the motto “Innovation for Everyone” a reality.

The reason behind Xiaomi’s success is, they’ve always listened to the Indian crowd. Their recently launched trimmer and pollution masks as some of the good examples. The Mi TV series in 2019, had a market share of 33% as Xiaomi has managed to price them aggressively too.

Xiaomi’s ecosystem and product lineup in China is vast. Some of these products are showcased in the Mi Home branches, in Bangalore and a couple of other places. Sadly, the products are only to be showcased but are not sold. With Xiaomi stepping up its ‘”Ecosystem” game in India, we’re pretty sure most of their products will be soon available in India.

The wireless mouse was first launched in China back in June 2018  as Mi Wireless Mouse Youth Edition. Now, the company has launched it in India as Mi Portable Wireless Mouse. It comes in two different colors, black and white, with a weight of only 56 grams it is comfortable to use.

With a DPI of up to 1200, Xiaomi claims that the mouse has excellent travel and accuracy. This tiny mouse, like any other wireless mouse, communicates via a 2.4GHz wireless receiver which can be found in a groove inside the mouse. There is a two-way scroll wheel that is clickable.

The Mi Wireless Mouse is available for sale on the official Mi.com website for an introductory price of INR 499, which when compared to others, is reasonably priced. Xiaomi’s VP Manu Kumar Jain in an interview confirmed that Xiaomi would be launching their flagship Mi series phones and a lot of other lifestyle and IoT products.
