Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is reported to be working on the successor to Redmi K40, the Redmi K50 series of smartphones will include three models: Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K50 Pro+. A Chinese tipster named Bald Panda has leaked the key specifications of the Pro+ handset ahead of the launch.
According to the leaks, the handsets are tipped to come with a high refresh rate AMOLED display and features Snapdragon 898 chips along with with120W fast-charging support. Let’s have a look at the leaked specifications of the Redmi K50 Pro+.
Redmi K50 Pro+: Leaked Specifications
The Redmi K50 Pro+ sports a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a high refresh rate of 120Hz, making it suitable for gaming. The Redmi K50 Pro+ will also feature have an IP68-rated built, a punch-hole cut-out, and a slim bezel display. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset powers the Redmi K50 Pro+.
In terms of security, the handset features an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication. The handset runs Android 11OS with MIUI 12.5 custom skin on top. The smartphone features Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680) CPU along with Adreno 660 GPU.
In addition, the Redmi K50 Pro+ features video playback at 1080p@30/60fps and 720p@120fps. In terms of optics, the Redmi K50, K50 Pro offers a 48MP, 50MP primary camera. In contrast, the Redmi K50 Pro+ features a triple camera at the rear comprising a 108MP primary camera, 13MP macro lens, and a 5MP telephoto lens along with a periscope zoom.
At the front, the Redmi K50 Pro+ might feature a 20MP selfie shooter for snapping selfies and video chatting. The Redmi K50 Pro+ packs a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The smartphone connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v5.2, A2DP, LE, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, Infrared Port, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go for charging and file transfer.
Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, compass, and proximity sensor.
Redmi K50 Pro+: Expected Pricing
The official pricing information of the Redmi K50 Pro+ will be announced at the time of launch. However, from the leaked specifications, the smartphone might be priced at Rs. 30,000. The Redmi K50 lineup that includes the Redmi K50 Pro+ is expected to launch by February 2022 in China.
