Vivo Y30 6GB RAM Variant’s Launch Expected Soon

The Vivo Y30 was launched in India back in July 2020 as a mid-range smartphone. The only variant it was available in was 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo will launch another variant with a higher 6GB RAM. Vivo posted a teaser for the new 6GB RAM variant which means the launch date is approaching.

The poster clearly hints at a new 6GB RAM variant. The poster was posted by Jerome Chen, CEO of Vivo India so the poster is authentic. The new variant will also come in two colourways: Dazzle Blue and Emerald Black.

Vivo Y30 Specs

All the other specifications of the Y30 are likely to be the same. The device sports a 6.47- inch HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The 8 MP selfie camera on the Vivo Y30 is housed in a punch hole to the left of the display. On the rear, the Vivo Y30 features a quad camera setup with a 13 MP main shooter, an 8 MP ultra wide and two additional 2 MP sensors. The fingerprint scanner is a rear-mounted one.

The device is powered by the octa-core Helio P35 paired with 4 GB (and now also 6 GB) and 128 GB of internal memory. The storage can also be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. Vivo also launched 8GB RAM variant in some markets as well, which was coupled with 128GB of internal memory.

The phone comes with Android 10 out of the box with with Vivo’s custom FunTouch OS 10.0 skin on top of it. The phone also features a 5000 mAh battery which can be charged via a USB type-C port. The device isn’t different from the original Y30 drastically, but the motive seems to be adding an additional RAM variant to the existing lineup.
