In an online-only launch event, Samsung India announced a new 5G smartphone in their M series — the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G. The second 5G phone in the M series after the Galaxy M42 5G flaunts a 5000mAh battery, Dimensity 720 SoC, 12 5G bands, 48 MP quad-cameras, and more.
Starting at ₹20,999 makes it clash against other 5G offerings in this price range, namely — Realme X7 5G, Oppo A74 5G, iQOO Z3 5G, Motorola Edge 20 Fusion, etc., to name a few.
Samsung Galaxy M32 5G: Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M32 5G showcases a 6.5″ HD+ TFT Infinity-V display. The screen has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and has a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Also, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for the protection of the front display. Like every other Samsung phone in this price range, the Galaxy M32 5G has a plastic chassis, including the back panel.
Samsung offers the MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G processor under the hood for powering the device. With that, there’s 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with 128GB of onboard storage. On the software front, the handset runs on OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11. Under the name of 5G, Samsung provides support for 12 5G bands in total.
Coming to the cameras, the Galaxy M32 5G features a 48MP quad-camera setup, the other three lenses being an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor for focus assist. On the front, the Galaxy M32 5G sports a 13MP selfie snapper. Camera modes like portrait mode, live focus mode, AR mode, and night mode are also present.
A 5000mAh battery backs the Galaxy M32 5G, and one can use the in-box 15W power adapter to refill it. Other features include single mono speakers, storage expansion up to 1TB, including standard connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Lastly, the Galaxy M32 5G runs the full-fledged version of OneUI 3.1, which means that Samsung exclusives like Knox Security, Alt Z Mode, etc., are also present. As promised by Samsung, the Galaxy M32 5G will receive two years of OS upgrades.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy M32 5G will be available in two configurations — 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB. The former is priced at ₹20,999, while the pricing of the upper variant is yet to arrive. Buyers can choose from two color options — Sky Blue and Slate Black.
The smartphone will go on sale starting from 2nd September 2021 at noon via Amazon India. It will also be purchasable from Samsung India online store and select retail outlets.
