After a brief gap of two weeks since the Galaxy F22, Samsung India announced the 2021 edition of the Galaxy M21. It is a rebadged version of the original Galaxy M21, with a few minor upgrades.
The Galaxy M21 2021 edition’s spotlight features include its Super AMOLED display, 6000mAh battery, and a 48MP triple camera setup. In addition, the Galaxy M21 2021 Edition will be available for purchase in Arctic Blue and Charcoal Black colors.
Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition: Specifications
The Galaxy M21 2021 edition features a 6.4″ FHD+ Super AMOLED Display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and 420 nits of peak brightness. The panel comes with the Samsung’s Infinity-U Display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It boasts a plastic construction and weighs 188 grams.
Under the hood, the Galaxy M21 2021 edition houses the Exynos 9611 Octa-core processor based on a 10nm fabrication process. It comes with two RAM variants — 4GB and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM type. Storage options include 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 type, which is expandable up to 512GB via a Micro-SD card.
Coming to the optics, the Galaxy M21 2021 houses a primary 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree FOV, and a 5MP depth sensor. The selfie camera has a resolution of 20MP. Rear camera modes include AR Zone, slow motion, and a couple of AI modes like food, landscape, etc. The handset packs a 6000mAh battery coupled with 15W Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging.
The phone runs on OneUI Core 3.1 based on Android 11 and has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication along with an AI-based face unlock system. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated sim card slot. Prominent connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, and WiFi.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy M21 2021 edition comes in two variants — 4GB+64GB for ₹12,499 and 6GB+128GB for ₹14,499. Buyers can choose from two color options, namely Arctic Blue and Charcoal Black. The device will go on sale during the Amazon India Prime Day Sale, starting from midnight on July 26th, 2021.
In addition, it will be available to purchase from Amazon India, Samsung India online store, and select retail outlets. Discounts and offers present during the Amazon Prime Day sale will also apply to Galaxy M21 2021 edition.
