After milking sales from the Narzo 30 series, Realme is already here with its successor. The company announced its first offerings in the Narzo 50 lineup in an online-only event — the Realme Narzo 50a and Narzo 50i.
In the same event, Realme also announced the Realme Band 2 and Realme Smart TV Neo 32″. Tipped to be the “Mighty Performer,” the Realme Narzo 50a comes with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 6000 mAh battery, 50MP triple cameras, and more.
Realme Narzo 50a: Specifications
Once again, Realme provides the same 6.5″ HD+ IPS LCD. Having a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, the panel boasts a peak brightness level of 570 nits in sunlight mode and ~270 PPI density. The phone features plastic construction and houses a gigantic camera layout.
As for the processor, Realme Narzo 50a comes with MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The 12nm octa-core processor has an integrated Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and the phone boots Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The Realme Narzo 50a features a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP portrait lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera to handle selfies and selfie videos. The camera restricts video recording to 1080p only.
6000mAh battery is what you get here, and with that, there’s 18W quick charge support. Other features include Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, triple SIM card tray, USB Type-C port, reverse charging, etc.
Realme Narzo 50i: Specifications
The Realme Narzo 50i features a 6.5″ HD+ IPS LCD — the same as its elder sibling announced today. Although the brightness levels max out at 400nits, one can’t tell them apart. The panel has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and has an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio.
Here comes the exciting part, Realme doesn’t want to disclose the processor inside the Narzo 50i. As of now, all we know is that the Realme Narzo 50i houses an unnamed SC9863A octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, having an integrated IMG 8322 GPU. RAM options include 2GB or 4GB of LPDDR4X type and up to 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
The rear camera layout includes a simple sounding 8MP f/2.0 sensor; that’s it. The front selfie camera has a resolution of 5MP. It comes with a few photography modes like panoramic view, portrait mode, expert, time-lapse, HDR, beauty, filter, etc., while the rear camera recording maxes out at 1080p.
The phone backs a 5000mAh battery coupled with 10W standard charging. Miscellaneous features include Wi-Fi, 4G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, reverse charging, single backfiring speaker, triple SIM card tray, Micro-USB port, and boots Realme UI Go Edition based on Android 11 out of the box.
