OPPO Pad, the first tablet from OPPO launched with Snapdragon 870 Chipset

OPPO’s first Android tablet has entered the Chinese market, named OPPO Pad. The company has brought their latest edition of tablet alongside the Oppo Find X5 series. This new Android tablet brings a high-refresh-rate, ultra-High-definition display.

The tablet’s internals features a Snapdragon 800 series chipset and comes with fast-charging support. The new tablet from OPPO looks very similar to their sub-brand’s tablet – the Realme Pad that launched in India last year. The manufacturer shares the same type of design aesthetics, although in a much premium chassis.

OPPO Pad: Specifications

The OPPO Pad flaunts with a large 11-inch QHD+ IPS LCD that scales up to 2K resolution (1600 × 2560 pixels), supporting a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz. OPPO has designed the screen with thin 7 mm bezels, giving more real estate and enough spacing to hold the tablet.

The display on the tablet supports HDR10 playback along with 10-bit color reproduction for a vivid viewing experience. Under the hood, an Octa-Core 5G Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 Chipset coupled with Adreno 650 GPU powers the tablet.

OPPO has brought their latest offspring in three different variants, ranging up to 8 GB of RAM and onboard storage of up to 256 GB. The Pad from OPPO features a dual-camera setup, bringing an 8-megapixel single camera on the front and a 13-megapixel sensor in the rear.

Speaking of the new perks of the tablet, Oppo has given stylus support that helps in doodling and writing stuff creatively. Moreover, the company has tried a radical back design with the product name branding from the bottom to the top.

The usage of AG matte finish on the tablet’s back panel has made the device look even more gorgeous, along with those distinct colors. Apart from the exterior looks, the tablet on the inside runs OPPO’s proprietary Color OS designed for larger screens, unlike the mobile version.

The notable changes made on the operating system include multitasking and allowing applications to run in PiP and pop-up mode. The other additions to the OS feature an easy way to drag and drop files from one app to another.

Talking about media-related features now, the tablet has a Quad-Speaker setup featuring Dolby Atmos. OPPO has provided a generous battery pack of 8,360 mAh that supports 33W VOOC Fast Charging.
