OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G smartphone has been announced today for the Indian smartphone market, along with the OnePlus TV Y1S Series. The newly announced smartphone from the Chinese brand comes as a successor for the previous year launched OnePlus Nord CE.
The new handset from the OnePlus company falls under the mid-range segment of the market featuring a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity chipset. In the naming of the smartphone, CE stands for Core Edition, which comes down as a watered-down version of the original Nord 2 smartphone with a lot of changes in terms of design and internals.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G: Specifications
For starters, the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC coupled with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU powers the smartphone. The smartphone runs on OnePlus’s custom OxygenOS 11 skin, based on the Android 11 operating system. The Nord CE 2 5G comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400.
The display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ support, a pixel density of 409 PPI. The screen gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection along with features such as Display P3 color gamut with sRGB. The storage options of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G comes with either 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and onboard UFS 2.2 storage of up to 128 GB.
The camera setup on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G houses a 64-megapixel main camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens and a 0.7-micrometer pixel size. Coming to the other two sensors, the setup comes with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 119-degree field of view. The tertiary sensor is a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and the front features a 16-megapixel sensor.
OnePlus hasn’t stepped down with its sensors array providing an under-display fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. Speaking of the connectivity options the handset gets 5G, 4G VoLTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS. The 4,500mAh battery pack on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G supports a 65W USB Type-C SuperVOOC fast charging.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G starts at Rs. 23,999 featuring 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Whereas, the higher-storage version or the top-of-the-line model sells at Rs. 24,999 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage.
The device will flaunt in two attractive shades; the Bahama Blue and Gray Mirror. The sale of this new iteration of the Nord CE version will begin from February 22 on Amazon and OnePlus official store’s across India.
