OnePlus recently teased the arrival of the OnePlus 9RT smartphone and the OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds in India. The OnePlus 9RT and the OnePlus Buds Z2 will launch in the country on January 14, and both of the devices have already launched in China in October.
In terms of key highlights, the OnePlus Buds 9RT features a 120Hz screen, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast-charging support.

OnePlus 9RT: Specifications
The OnePlus 9RT sports a 6.62-inch E4 OLED display by offering 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio with up to 120Hz refresh rate making it suitable for gaming and content playback. The handset’s display features 1300nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification support, and 600Hz touch response.
The OnePlus 9RT is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In addition, the device features up to 7GB of virtual RAM for better multitasking and memory management. For biometric authentication, the OnePlus 9RT features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 9RT features a triple camera setup at the rear comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS and EIS support, a16MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, the OnePlus 9RT features a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera sensor for snapping selfies and video chatting.
In terms of battery, the OnePlus 9RT is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65W fast charging support. The OnePlus 9RT’s connectivity options include 4G, 5G support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer, NFC support, and an audio jack for audio playback.

According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus 9RT price in India will be Rs.38,700 for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The OnePlus 9RT will be available in Black, Silver, and Blue color variants. The OnePlus 9RT will be launched in the country on January 14.
OnePlus Buds Z2: Specifications
In terms of design, OnePlus Buds Z2’s structure is identical to the company’s TWS earphones that OnePlus released last year. The OnePlus Buds Z2 will feature three microphones for active noise reduction. In addition to that, OnePlus Buds Z2 will feature an improved design that cancels background noise.
The True wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are protected against water and sweat, having IP55 certification, while the charging box gets IPX4. The OnePlus Buds Z2 has the same minimal yet elegant in-ear style design with silicone ear tips.
The earbuds come with an 11mm dynamic driver, three microphones, Active Noise Cancellation (up to 40dB), Dolby Atmos support, and a Pro Gaming mode. The Buds Z2 offers up to 5 hours of playback with ANC switched ON.
The OnePlus Buds Z2(TWS) earphones will feature Bluetooth v5.2 for connectivity. The new earphones feature the IP 55 rating for water and sweat resistance. The new TWS earphones will also feature Dolby Atmos support and Active Noise Cancellation(ANC).
The OnePlus Buds Z2 won’t support audio streaming codecs but will rely on basic AAC and SBC formats. In the OnePlus Buds Z2, 11 mm drivers produce the sound. In terms of battery, each of the OnePlus buds sports a 40mAh battery while the case carries another 520 mAh cell. The charging time of the box from 0 to 100% is 1hour 30mins, and the total playtime goes up to 27 hours with the noise-canceling turned on or 38 hours without it.
The TWS earbuds without the case get a 5 hour playback time with ANC on and 7 hours with ANC switched off. The OnePlus Buds Z2 Case uses a USB Type-C port for charging. However, the OnePlus Buds Z2 doesn’t offer wireless charging. The True wireless stereo (TWS) earphones weigh about 4.6 grams, and the charging case weighs 42 grams.
OnePlus Buds Z2: Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Buds Z2 is priced at Rs.7,350 ($99) in the US. The OnePlus Buds Z2 will be available in Night Black and Day White color variants. The OnePlus Buds Z2 will be launched in the country on January 14, along with the OnePlus 9RT smartphone.
