The curtains are off the show, and the OnePlus 8 launch date has finally revealed. An official tweet from OnePlus today announced that they would be releasing the OnePlus 8 series via an online event due to the COVID-19 pandemic going on.

An official tweet from OnePlus has unfolded the OnePlus 8 launch date. According to some previous leaks, it was leaked that the OnePlus 8 launch date set to April 14th or 15th. But finally, the official confirmation from OnePlus has arrived. And we already know a lot about the OnePlus phones.

It’s set to be April 14th, 2020. The event will take place online, just like what we see the case with the Realme, Redmi, and many other brands. The OnePlus 8 series will be exclusive to Amazon, just like the previous OnePlus phones. The product page for OnePlus 8 on Amazon is live and thus confirmed the exclusivity. The online event will take place on April 14th at 8:30 PM IST or 4 PM GMT.

The OnePlus 8 will come with a 6.55-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G chipset accompanied by an 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and internal storage of either 128GB/256GB. It’ll run on Android 10 with Oxygen OS 10 on top of it. Apart from that, it will have a 48MP+16MP+2MP camera setup. The selfie camera is a 16MP one. The battery capacity is said to be 4,300 mAh with 30W Warp Charge 30T and will not have an IP rating.
It isn’t the case with OnePlus 8 Pro, though. The OnePlus 8 Pro will arrive with a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 865 5G chipset along with an 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and internal storage of 128GB/256GB. As we all know, It’ll be running the Android 10 update with Oxygen OS 10 on top of it and will feature a 48MP+ 48MP+8MP+5MP camera setup. The selfie camera will be the same 16MP though we may see another front camera in the case of 8 Pro. It’ll have a 4,510 mAh battery where it’ll support 30W Warp Charge 30T along with 30W wireless charging.
