New OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro Renders Leak

Just a while ago we got the first renders of the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. From the back these phone look like a cross between Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the OnePlus 8T. That means yes, OnePlus is continuing with the same camera cutout design as the OnePlus 8 Pro.

The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro will launch mid-march 2021 which is 2 months earlier than OnePlus’s refresh cycle. This could we due to the S21 series also launching earlier or because OnePlus wants to extend the gap between the launches of the it’s normal and t series phones.

OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus 9 Pro may sport a 6.7″ screen. According to the renders the screen will be curved over the edges like the 8 Pro. It will feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 875 ( the even for which will be held on 1 December). There are also some leaks suggesting that the display refresh rate could go up to 144 Hz.

The 9 Pro will also feature much better stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The phone will also come with Warp charge 65 support. Since, this is the Pro model, wireless charging and an official IP certification may be included. The base variant of the phone will still come with 8 GB of RAM.

In the camera cutout we see two prominent sensors along with two smaller sensors. The prominent one’s may be the main and the ultrawide, as for the third sensor it may be a telephoto camera. However, we still don’t know the function of the fourth sensor.

OnePlus 9

The OnePlus 9 may sport a 6.65″ display. The phone may stick with the 120 Hz display as with the 8T and 8 Pro. The renders of the OnePlus 9 show that the device may have a flat panel unlike the curved one on the Pro version. The OnePlus 9 will also feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875.

This phone may also come with stereo speakers although it is currently unknown whether they will have Dolby Atmos support. The OnePlus 9 will also support OnePlus’s super fast Warp charge 65. Wireless charging and an official IP rating may not be included with this phone.

The camera cutout houses two prominent sensors and an unknow third sensor. It is unlikely to be a Macro sensor because the 4 rumoured 48 MP ultra wide camera will support Macro mode.
