Motorola Edge 20 Pro Arrives in India with Snapdragon 870, 144Hz OLED Screen, and More

Ever since Motorola launched its Edge 20 series in India, it was skeptical whether Motorola would launch its flagship of the year — the Motorola Edge 20 Pro. After over a month now, Motorola Edge 20 Pro finally arrived in India with all its glory today.

That said, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro starts at ₹36,999 and is here to compete against Samsung’s Galaxy A52s 5G, Vivo X60, Oppo Reno6 Pro 5G, and a few others. Let’s see how Motorola’s top-of-the-line smartphone stands against them.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro: Specifications

Retaining the same gorgeous screen of the Motorola Edge 20, the Moto Edge 20 Pro also comes with the same 6.7″ FHD+ OLED display. Moreover, the panel can showcase over a billion colors, or in short, it’s a 10-bit screen. It can also refresh at 144Hz and comes with HDR10+ certification. The build quality also sees an upgrade and now features a Gorilla Glass 5 back and front instead of a plastic back on the Edge 20 while keeping the metal frame.

Motorola Edge 20 Pro houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset coupled with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The 7nm octa-core processor comes with an integrated Adreno 650 GPU. Being a 5G processor, it supports eleven 5G bands, and the smartphone runs on Near Stock Android based on Android 11. A touch sampling rate of 576Hz also has some hands in making the smartphone feel super smooth.

The Edge 20 Pro shares a similar camera setup as the Edge 20, which means it comes with a 108MP primary sensor, 16MP ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree FOV, and an 8MP periscope lens. While the 8MP sensor has OIS and can zoom in 5 times optically, the 16MP ultra-wide camera can also double up as a macro sensor. In addition, the Moto Edge 20 Pro can shoot videos in 8K resolution and supports up to 50x digital zoom. There’s a 32MP sensor for selfies that can also shoot videos in 4K resolution.

The phone packs a 4500mAh battery that supports Motorola’s 30W TurboPower charging. Other features include Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, no 3.5mm headphone jack, bottom-ported speaker tuned by Waves Maxx Audio Mobile, three microphones, IP52 splash resistance, USB 3.1, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The handset comes with some Motorola exclusive features like ‘Ready For’ that allows the user to connect their Edge 20 Pro to a bigger screen, including Laptops, Desktops, and TVs, and perform various functions like Video Conferencing, Gaming, etc. Alongside, it also sports ThinkShield security for Mobile.
