Motorola E40 Smartphone Launched in India for ₹9,499

After a long time, Motorola’s E series finally saw some stir today. The Motorola E40 is the company’s latest budget offering alongside their G series of smartphones. It, too, comes with a UNISOC processor, which has become quite popular in the budget segment lately.

Furthermore, the handset comes with a few more exciting features like a 90Hz screen, 5000mAh battery, 48MP triple cameras, and more. Let’s have an overview of the Motorola E40 in this news coverage.

Motorola E40: Specifications

The Motorola E40 features a 6.5″ HD+ IPS LCD; the same also sports a 90Hz high refresh rate. Being an HD+ panel, it has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels having a display density of 269 PPI. Like every other budget phone, this also offers plastic construction.

Motorola E40 draws power from the UNISOC T700 Octa-core 1.8GHz processor. The 12nm processor comes with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 1TB). It comes with an integrated Mali G52 GPU, and just like every other Motorola phone, the E40 boots near stock android based on Android 11.

The smartphone houses a triple camera setup comprising a 48MP primary lens, a 2MP ultra-wide camera, and another 2MP lens for depth assist. With that, there’s an 8MP selfie camera. It features video recording in FHD resolution and comes with plenty of camera modes.

The handset packs a 5000mAh battery that supports Motorola’s 10W TurboPower charging via a Type-C port at the bottom. Essentially, it also comes with features like Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, dedicated Google Assistant key, mono speakers, triple SIM tray, to name a few.

The Motorola E40 comes in a single variant — 4GB+64GB for ₹9,499. The handset will go on sale starting 17th October 2021, at noon via Flipkart and retail outlets. It will be available in two colorways: Pink Clay and Carbon Gray.
