The IN series from Micromax was the company’s answer to the “Made in India” campaign, where they launched two phones — IN Note 1 and IN 1b. After about eight months, the IN 2b finally saw the light of day, and we now have a successor to the well-received Micromax IN 1b.
Starting at ₹7,999, the Micromax IN2b offers the Unisoc T610 SoC, 5000mAh battery, an HD+ display, Dual rear cameras and stock Android 11. It will compete against the confusing Realme C series and a couple of Redmi, Infinix and Samsung offerings.
Micromax IN2b: Specifications
The Micromax IN 2b flaunts a 6.52″ HD+ display, having a resolution of 1600×720 pixels and a peak brightness of 400 nits. The display technology is IPS LCD, and it has a pixel per inch density of 269. In addition to a plastic frame, the handset boasts a plastic back with a sunrise style design on top, resembling the Redmi 9 Power.
Surprisingly, the Micromax IN2b houses a Unisoc SoC, Unisoc T610 to be specific. One can choose from 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and both come with 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage type. On the bright side, it runs on Stock Android, and that too v11. The internal memory is expandable up to 256GB using a micro-SD card.
Speaking of the cameras, we have a dual-camera setup on the rear — a 13MP primary camera coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. The V-shaped notch on the front side accommodates a 5MP selfie sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. Camera modes on either side include night mode, portrait mode and beauty mode.
The handset packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W standard charging via USB Type-C. Other than these, the Micromax IN2b sports a 3.5mm headphone jack, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, single mono speakers, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 above all.
Micromax In2b: Pricing and Availability
The Micromax IN 2b comes in two variants — 4GB + 64GB for ₹7,999 and 6GB + 64GB for ₹8,999. There will be three colour choices on offer, namely Green, Black and Blue.
It will go on sale from 6 August 2021 at noon and will be available to buy on Flipkart, Micromax’s online store, and retail stores.
