Xiaomi Unveils Mi Notebook Ultra and Notebook Pro in India

Xiaomi unveiled Mi Notebook Ultra and Mi Notebook Pro in India on Thursday. The new laptops were released as part of Xiaomi’s Smarter Living 2022 event. The Xiaomi NoteBook Ultra and Xiaomi Notebook Pro feature the latest Intel chipsets and new display technologies.

These are the second generation Mi Notebook laptops and will succeed the Mi Notebook 14 from last year. The notable upgrade on the new Mi Notebook laptops is the backlit keyboard missing from previous Xiaomi laptops.

The latest two laptops also feature up to 3.2k displays and 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake processors, and a 16:10 aspect ratio display. Let’s take a detailed look at the Xiaomi NoteBook Ultra and Xiaomi Notebook Pro’s specifications, price & availability.

Mi NoteBook Ultra: Specifications & Features

The Xiaomi NoteBook Ultra features a 15.6-inch Mi Truelife+ display with a resolution of 3,200×2,000 pixels. The Xiaomi NoteBook Ultra features a display with16:10 aspect ratio, 300 nits peak brightness, and a high 90hz refresh rate. Moreover, the display features 100 percent sRGB gamut color coverage, TUV Rheinland low blue light certification, and DC dimming.

The laptop is powered by Intel’s 11th Gen Core i7-11370H processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.8GHz. The screen provides a 242 PPI pixel density. The Mi Notebook Ultra comes with a backlit keyboard with 3 levels of brightness. The laptop also supports Windows gestures.

Mi Notebook Ultra

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi NoteBook Ultra features Thunderbolt 4 port, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Mi Notebook Ultra features Intel’s Iris Xe graphics to handle graphically intensive tasks. The Mi Notebook Ultra gets up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and comes with up to 512 GB NVMe SSD. The audio is taken care of by a two 2W speaker system with DTS audio support.

The laptop is available in a single Lustrous Gray color variant and a built-in 720p webcam. Xiaomi has also embedded the fingerprint scanner on top of the power button for easy access and security. The power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner, and the backlit scissor keyboard has three brightness levels, along with 1.5mm of travel. 

In terms of battery, the Mi NoteBook Ultra features a 70Whr battery and claimed 12-hour battery life. It also supports USB Type-C charging with a 65W charger. The Mi Notebook Ultra comes pre-installed with MS Office Home and Student Edition 2019 and runs Windows 10 Home. The laptop is 17.9mm thick and weighs 1.7kg.

The Mi Notebook Ultra is available at a price of ₹59,999 for the base variant with Core i5 process and 8GB RAM. The laptop with a Core i5 processor and 16GB of RAM is priced at ₹63,999, whereas the top variant with Intel Core i7 and 16GB of RAM is priced at ₹76,999.

Mi Notebook Pro: Specifications & Features

The Xiaomi Notebook Pro features a 14-inch 2.5K Mi Truelife+ display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The Xiaomi NoteBook Ultra features a display with16:10 aspect ratio, 300 nits peak brightness, and a 60hz refresh rate. Moreover, the display features 100 percent sRGB gamut color coverage, TUV Rheinland low blue light certification, and DC dimming.

The laptop is powered by Intel’s 11th Gen Core i7-11370H processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.8GHz. The screen provides a 215 PPI pixel density. The Mi Notebook Ultra comes with a backlit keyboard with 3 levels of brightness. The laptop also supports Windows gestures.
