LG Style3 Announced with Waterproof Body

LG has been very quiet in the last few years. And silently, LG introduced LG Style3 in Japan with the model name (L-41A). Powered by a two years old Snapdragon chipset, Snapdragon 845, the IP68 water-resistant feature seems absurd. Moreover, the company seems to come back from the grave slowly. You should not get confused with the Stylo series from the same brand since there’s no stylus on this series.

LG Style3 Specifications

The Style3 comes with a 6.1-inch Quad HD+FullVision OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. Weirdly, it comes with a notch display when other manufacturers are trying to get rid of it. The LG Style3 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Octa-Core chipset with Adreno 630 GPU. Even though the chipset is two years older, it still remains a flagship-level processor.

Coming to the storage internals, we get to see a 4GB LPDDR4X RAM along with 64GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card slot. Straight out of the box, it runs on Android 10 with LG’s custom UI on top of it.

The Style3 possesses a dual-camera setup on the back with a 48MP main sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. If you turn it around, there’s an 8MP camera on the front side. There are a dedicated AI button and a fingerprint sensor. The LG Style3 is water and dust-resistant with durability certified at Military-level. There’s an IP68 rating along with MIL-STD 810G certification.

On top of all these, it weighs only 162 grams which is very lightweight. There’s a 3,500 mAh battery which could have been a bit larger compared to the competition. The phone is priced at JPY 38,000 which equals nearly ₹26,000 in India and $350 in the United States. The LG Style3 comes in Aurora Black and Mirror Black colors and will be sold via NTT Docomo in June.
