Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Launched with Snapdragon 865+ and Side Pop-Up Selfie Camera

Lenovo has announced their gaming-centric smartphone dubbed as Legion Phone Duel. The smartphone packs in all the flagship-level features and internals with an attractive design on the outside. One of the highlighting features of this device is its camera placement of primary and selfie shooters.

The smartphone is a direct rivalry to some of the contenders in the gaming-centric devices such as the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 3 and Nubia Red Magic 5S. The smartphone features a flat UI specifically to enhance the user experience for the budding mobile gamers. It also packs in some beneficial features for gaming.

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Specifications

The Legion Phone Duel is Lenovo’s debut into the gaming-smartphone sector and is powered by the Snapdragon 865+ with ZUI 12 running on Android 10. It comes with a 6.65-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The Legion Phone Duel has up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage choices.

The ZUI or the Legion OS is optimized to enhance the gaming experience by adding six customized layout themes, each with different interface elements, colors, and icons. The device also supports home mode that can directly cast the gameplay through a connected monitor or HDTV, and users can use the full potential of this feature by connecting a wireless/wired keyboard and mouse.

The smartphone has an option for ultrasonic touch-sensitive and dual vibration engine sensors that supports to readjust the virtual buttons on the phone’s edges to give it a joystick feel. The cameras on the rear are a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.89 aperture and a secondary 16MP ultrawide sensor with 120-degree FOV and f/2.2 aperture. The side-mounted front camera is a 20MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

This particular side-mounted selfie camera on Lenovo’s Gaming device will help the users to live stream the games directly on Twitch and YouTube. The smartphone has four-noise cancellation mics for better audio experience and has connectivity features such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and two USB Type-C ports. The dual-battery capacity features 5000mAh capacity with 90W Turbo Power Charging.

This new 90W Turbo Charging from Lenovo will fully charge the Legion Phone Duel in 30 minutes. The device also has dual liquid-cooling along with copper tubes, and the dual batteries will help reduce the heat. The prices start at CNY 3,499 (Rs 37,300) for 8/128 GB variant, CNY 3,899 (roughly Rs 41,580) for 12GB/128GB variant and CNY 5,999 (Rs 64,000) for 16GB/512GB option and there’s no information on launch in other countries yet.
