We live in the digital age where the usage of multiple devices is on the peaks. With more and more devices on the go, the need for more and more charging slots has become significant. Moreover, USB Type-C chargers are becoming a norm nowadays — laptops, smartphones, wireless earphones/headphones, and many others.

On top of that, even though we’ve multiple charging bricks, the charging slots fill up quickly, and we leave out other devices. In such situations, you need a multiport high-watt charger to charge multiple devices at a time. Enter Kovol Sprint 65W 4-Port Type-C Charger.

Kovol Sprint 65W 4-Port Charger Review

Kovol Sprint is a multiport high-watt charger that comes with two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, allowing you to charge up to four devices at a time. Let’s take an in-depth look at the charger and see if it is one of the best multiport chargers in the market out there.

Overview

The Kovol Sprint 65W GaN and PD charger is a four-port charger that juices up your devices with 65W of power. However, there’s no shortage of such chargers in the market. Even the newly launched Macbook M1 Apple Silicon models arrive with GaN-enabled power brick that juices up the battery much faster.

GaN technology enables the chargers to use less space while producing less heat simultaneously. By combining PD and GaN technology, Kovol provides you with a four-port charger that can charge up to four devices at a single time.

The Kovol GaN PD four-port charger is available in two variants — 120W and 65W. In this review, we’ll be taking a look at the 65W version. Let’s take a deep dive into what it offers.

Design & Build

The Kovol Sprint 4-port charger has a compact and simple design. That said, you’ll see four LED indicators on the bottom of the ports indicating its status. And they don’t represent four-ports or their charging status. Other than that, you’ll see Kovol branding on the charger.

The 5-feet AC cord can be removed, which I generally prefer. The charger weighs around 155 grams (0.34 Pounds) which isn’t a lot of weight to carry around in your backpack. Honestly, it is much better than having a ton of charging bricks in your bag.

Features

The Kovol Sprint 4-port Charger comes with GaN (short for Gallium Nitride) technology. The best part about these chargers is that they don’t use many components compared to standard silicon chargers. This technology makes them smaller while keeping them efficient at the same time.

It uses the Q-Pulse technology with intelligent power allocation that charges multiple devices simultaneously, saving some space. Various built-in protection abilities prevent short-circuits, over-current, and over-charging damages.

My Experience

I used the Kovol Sprint 4-port charger ditching four power bricks while traveling to a different place. I felt relieved not carrying four charging bricks that took a lot of space and weight in my backpack.

Kovol Sprint 65W 4-Port Charger in use

It charged my devices simultaneously, maintaining equal power delivery. I loved how quickly it charged my Macbook Air M1, iPhone 12, OnePlus 5, and AirPods 2. These are the primary devices that involve in my day-to-day usage. I’m also planning to get one for my other family members.

Should You Buy the Kovol 4-Port Charger?

Buy If

  • You travel a lot with multiple devices.
  • You carry a lot of power bricks.
  • If you want a compact charging brick.

Don’t Buy If

I don’t have reasons to advise you to avoid this charger.

Final Thoughts

The Kovol Sprint 65W 4-Port charger works as advertised. It charges your devices quickly and efficiently and comes in a compact size. GaN chargers are lightweight and efficient, and this charger justifies it. If you’re looking for a four-port charger to charge your devices, this charger is the one you can get.

You can get this charger for $49.99 from the Kovol website or Amazon, wherever you prefer.
