After exactly six months since the announcement of iQOO Z3 5G in India, iQOO is already up to introduce its successor — the iQOO Z5 5G. The smartphone’s spotlight features include the Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC, 120Hz display, 5000mAh battery, and more.

iQOO Z5 5G: Specifications
Sticking to a similar display type, iQOO Z5 5G features a 6.67″ FHD+ IPS LCD. The panel sports a 120Hz fast refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10 certification with a maximum of 650 nits of peak brightness. Unlike last time, iQOO Z5 5G comes with a hole-punch cutout instead of a waterdrop notch, and Panda Glass protects the front display.
This time, iQOO Z5 5G houses the rather popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. The handset comes with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. While the SoC comes with an integrated Adreno 642L GPU, the iQOO Z5 5G supports two 5G bands and comes with an extended RAM feature up to 4GB.
Except for the back camera module, the camera specs are precisely identical to the iQOO Z3 5G. That includes a 64MP Samsung GW3 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 2MP macro camera along with a 16MP f/2.0 selfie snapper. The device can record videos in 4K resolution and sports various camera modes like super night mode, dual-view video, etc.
Bumping up the battery capacity, the iQOO Z5 5G now comes with a 5000mAh battery. Sadly, the 55W FlashCharge gets a downgrade to 44W FlashCharge. Other features include — Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, dual-stereo speakers with surround sound, 4D game vibration linear motor, 3.5mm headphone jack, liquid cooling system, etc. The device is encrypted using a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and boots Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11.
Pricing and Availability
The iQOO Z5 5G will be available in two configurations — 8GB+128GB for ₹23,990 and 12GB+256GB for ₹26,990. There will be two colors on offer, namely Arctic Dawn and Mystic Space. The handset will be available during the Amazon Great Indian sale starting 3rd October 2021.
