iQOO U5x has launched officially as a budget smartphone featuring an HD LCD water-drop notch screen, Dual Rear Cameras, and a Qualcomm 4G chipset. Vivo’s sub-brand has made its name in the premium segment of smartphones, giving a run for its money to Xiaomi, Samsung, and OnePlus devices.
The latest U-series smartphone comes with a 4G chipset, whereas iQOO U5 with a similar design launched in December 2021 features a 5G chipset. Let’s have a closer look at the iQOO U5x specifications, price, and availability.
iQOO U5x Specifications
iQOO U5x sports a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a water-drop notch and comes with a screen resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. The display arrives with a regular 60Hz refresh rate, unlike its other version, the iQOO U5. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 680 SoC powers the smartphone, coupled with 4/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with expandability via a micro SD card. The device supports dual sim cards and runs on Origin OS out-of-the-box, based on Android.
The camera module on the iQOO U5x houses a dual-camera setup featuring a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor along with an LED Flash. The front-facing camera on the iQOO U5x includes an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling embedded within the water-drop notch. The back design of the smartphone features a brushed metal look on the Black color version and comes with a light effect that flows radiantly.
The connectivity features of the U5x from iQOO include Dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, the sensors array on the device features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, proximity, compass. The battery pack on the iQOO U5x houses a 5,000mAh cell that supports a 10W regular charging via the USB Type-C port.
Price and Availability
The iQOO U5x starts at CNY 899 or Rs. 10,700 for the 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, whereas the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version costs CNY 1,099 or Rs. 13,100 in China. The device flaunts two different color options, Polar Blue and Star Black. There is no official information regarding the launch of this new U-series iQOO smartphone in India.
