Apple has officially launched it’s cheaper version iPhone, SE 2020, or SE 2nd Generation. There have been many speculations flying in the air about its announcement since a few months. Apple made a very silent release of this edition without any event organized specially for it. Anyhow, they have launched directly on their website with all the necessary information and price details.
The Apple iPhone SE 2020 looks identical to the iPhone 8, which launched in 2017 with a compact design language. The design has been running from iPhone 6 and continues to this SE 2. It has a glass back with wireless charging capabilities supporting Qi wireless chargers and a Single-rear camera. Other connectivity features are Wi-Fi 6, Gigabit LTE, Dual SIM with eSIM.
The front of the iPhone SE consists of a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with Touch ID given in the bottom. The SE 2020 boasts the A13 Bionic chip, used in the latest iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. The single rear shooter is of a 12MP sensor with Portrait Mode, which can detect and take pictures of humans only. The front-facing selfie camera is 7-megapixels can also use for those portrait mode effects. The SE 2020 is IP67 water, and dust resistance certified, and Apple didn’t cut down on these small details, which is a good thing.
About the battery, there are no details of the capacity but the device can charge wirelessly and is also bundled with a 5W charger which still can support 18W charger, which is just a blunder in today’s time where other smartphone brands are giving support to insane fast chargers at those prices. There’s no headphone jack on the device, but a lightning connector headset provided in the box.
The Apple SE 2020 is available in three different colors, Red, black, and white. The storage options are 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
