Samsung has a history of delaying updates. But it looks like this isn’t the case anymore. Samsung has started rolling out the Android 10 update to some of Galaxy A series of smartphones. The list includes Galaxy A6 (2018), Galaxy A7 (2018), and Galaxy A80.
Android 10 Update For Galaxy A6 (2018), Galaxy A7 (2018), Galaxy A80
Android on Samsung devices come with a custom skin called OneUI. The same goes for Android 10, but OneUI has been updated to v2 as well. This update is being rolled out in India, France, for now, but the global rollout will take a little longer to come. This Android update brings in some new features that are available in Android 10.
These features include a system-wide dark mode, new navigation gestures, updated UI, and some more tweaks to the system.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) has an update with the firmware version A600FNXXU5CTB9. It is around 1.3GB in terms of the download size.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has a firmware version A750FXXU4CTBC in the update. It has the same download size that of the A6 (2018), which is 1.3GB.
The Samsung Galaxy A80 has an update with the firmware version A805FXXU4BTC3. The update here includes the February 2020 Security Patch along with Digital Wellbeing as an additional feature to that of Galaxy A6 (2018) and A7 (2018).
As Samsung promised, the updates are here for the devices. But the updates are yet to roll out globally. The Galaxy A6 (2018) and Galaxy A80 updates are being available in France while the Galaxy A7 (2018) update is being seen in India.
Make sure to check your system updates to see if the update has arrived on your devices mentioned above or not. If you don’t see an update, it’s better to be patient and wait a little longer until you see one.
